True to the hotel's philosophy and ambience, the D'zine re-designed online presence of Chrome Hotels that just went live, gives users a unique boutique experience.
Centrally located at 226 AJC Bose Road, Kolkata, the inspiration for Chrome began with an itsy-bitsy nugget of boredom, in the mind of its 24-year old dynamic Director, Deval Tibrewalla, who could no longer put up with the plastic smiles of the staff at standard luxury hotels worldwide. It was then, that he decided to build merry hotels, or happy fun places, that made guests truly enjoy their stay.
Besides pampering guests with an out-of-the-ordinary experience, Chrome has since redefined the Kolkata cityscape. The hotel's luxurious rectilinear Block of Swiss Cheese presence, is composed of white blocks housing rooms, against randomly punctuated colorful lights, that envelope the grey exposed concrete and create a strong presence in a fantastic location. Bringing all that Kolkata offers within easy reach.
Coming back to its newly launched online presence, the website has been designed and created totally in Flash and XML; with every aspect of the design seeking to replicate the near-actual experience that the hotel offers. Right from the music that's played on the site, which is the same as what a guest hears in the hotel lobby, to the local city temperature and things to do in and out of the hotel. Guests can make their reservations online, check out the ratings in TripAdvisor and also post their comments on the websites blog.
