Amongst the most successful marketing breakthroughs to hit campuses in summer of 2008, was Student Aid - the official welcome pack for over 30 leading universities across the UK. Placed on a students' bed to greet their arrival, the pack contained: product samples, branded items, the University Guide and discount vouchers; providing an excellent drive to sales for brands wishing to target university students.
Indicators of success are some stats from last year:

98% of Students used samples in the pack;

65% of students said vouchers encouraged them to reuse products;

83% of brands want to re-sign for 2009;

96.5% of students viewed brands positively in their Student Aid Parcel.
Student Aid is now looking at offering the welcome pack model 24/7 x 365 days, through an online presence being designed and built by D'zine Interactive; using a unique mash-up of social networking and e-commerce features.
