Mokshaa, is a family owned business, that has been operating in the contemporary clothing segment for around eight years now. In such a short period of time, the current proprietors, the Bohra brothers have made quite a name for their flagship store in Chennai.
Exquisite silks, ephemeral lehengas, salwars and suits for the ladies; sherwanis, jodhpuris, shirts, trousers and suits for men, in short a boutique for the best in indo-western wear. Mokshaa as a brand was growing, the physical space they occupy today is set to mirror that growth. Mokshaa were familiar with DZINE's work. A question was posed; What could be done for the brand?
We got down to the details. The start had to be at the website. Phase one was on capturing the essence of shopping for that perfect dress and the existing static HTML page definitely did not do that. Our team members started spending time at the store. We went through the many pieces on display, we were passive observers of the interactions between the clients and the employees, we looked at the back office operations. We poured through data and started coming up with patterns on the business model.
Mokshaa's clients were definitely well informed, trend-setters in their own right. Their time was at a premium and every minute spent on sourcing an exclusive piece was to be enjoyed. The team had found their 'in'. The designs that were presented had to cater to this need, this experience. The website work was started with the core focus being on the dresses. The stores collections were huge and here BrewMaster made its entry. The website could now mirror digitally the entire contents of the store. Organising, categorising and searching could be faster. At the back end, the admins could make changes in a jiffy. We gave a focus to a flash module hosted on the landing page. Easy to upload and manage, for us this was the digital store window. Offers, collections, show-pieces could all go in here.
We were on a roll and did not want to stop. The customer has the dress of their choice and we wanted a way for them to own it quickly. BrewCommerce, a payment gateway, a user account system and a secure platform, all seamlessly integrated, gave the customer quick claim to the fruits of their retail labour.
More inspection, more data mining. What are these numbers on a good number of delivery slips? Customisations you say? Do that for the web, quick ! the experiences should match. Wait they just got better did they not? Why drive down to the store to see your dress, go home and come back on another day to collect it after alterations? Why don't we just have the customer say how they want it done? So we did just that. To ensure that a tailor or a good meaning friend did not get that sleeve length wrong, or your cuff mixed with the collar changes, we built in the customise option right into the cart. We even automated a response by mail. Carrying a reference chart and a 'how to' manual, this email could be used at a place and time convenient to finish of the transaction. Mokshaa's customers love the experience and often want to gift someone else the same. Sure no problem, lets just built in a gift voucher system we said.
We took the best technologies around. Along with BrewMaster and BrewCommerce we put in the .Net for the server side work, XHTML, CSS and Ajax on the client and MS SQL for the database as the innards. We gave it a form and wrapped it in a flowing design. We embellished it with the clothes the store had to show and we made the brand's commitment come out in its functionality.
It would have shouted out just one thing to any other agency. For us it was a joy. We have crafted, maybe even bettered the Mokshaa experience, in the digital realm. Go have a look-see
here and if you think that claim holds good then get in touch with us to see what we can do for you.
