Established in 1996, La Porte des Indes is a fine-dining ethnic restaurant located in London and Brussels. It is a part of the Blue Elephant International Group, a renowned organization that operates a chain of luxury restaurants worldwide.

Offering a unique dining experience, La Porte des Indes has something for each of the senses. Seated in a visually stunning ambience of antique Indian artifacts, white marble staircases and a larger than life waterfall, diners are treated to the scent of exotic flora and the taste of authentic delicacies. The menu at La Porte des Indes is a concoction of Gallic influenced cuisine from Pondicherry, a former French colony in India, where Mehernosh Mody, their executive chef, and his wife spent several months with the French-Creole communities learning their original recipes. With the finest in traditional French, Indian and Creole specialties, La Porte des Indes is a novelty restaurant like no other.

Apart from a mouth-watering menu, La Porte des Indes has more to offer customers, from organizing private parties with a themed ambience and entertainment to special Sunday brunches with actual Indian street food stalls, from live cooking demonstrations by master chef Mehernosh to handy take away options. And they wanted this complete experience to be served to customers online.

On our first visit from the DZINE team in London, we couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by the fascinating sights, sounds and aromas at La Porte des Indes. We couldn’t wait to get started either. First thing we did was recreate the entire restaurant on the website. With excellent photography capturing the grandeur and elegance of the mansion as well as the ambience and flavor of the restaurant, we were able to showcase La Porte des Indes in a new light.

On the homepage, we decided to promote some of the experiences that make La Porte des Indes unique, from a sneak peek into the culinary classes conducted by Mehernosh to the spectacular Sunday brunch to their selection of rare and indulgent coffees. Considering the rush during the upcoming holiday season, we gave customers the option to book space for an office Christmas party or reserve a table for their New Year celebrations.

However, the most important ingredient in the website is social media. We put Mehernosh on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube and then put links to his pages up on the website. Through these social media avenues, Mehernosh could share his culinary knowledge as well as advertise the restaurant, while building a steady fan base of foodies.

Using our digital experience, we enhanced the dining experience. The ‘Book a Table’ option lets customers make reservations well in advance, be it a single table or a lavish private dining room. The complete set of menus with every available delicacy lets them even decide their order before stepping in.
